What happens when I move a Smartplug to a different location?

Zuli's core features work independently of Zuli Presence being activated, but any time you move a Smartplug and connect it to a new device, you need to change the configuration. A Smartplug is connected to the same device in the same room - no Zuli Presence

If you are simply moving a lamp or a fan to a different outlet, you don't need to do anything besides move it. Zuli's app will recognize the Smartplug and you'll be able to use the features as before.

Smartplug is connected to the same device in new room - no Zuli Presence

If you are moving a device to a new room, you'll need to delete the Smartplugs and add them again:

  1. Start by deleting the Smartplugs (top left menu, Manage Place, Devices, tap on the device, delete plug) 
  2. Add all of these Smartplugs again. (Video)

Any scenario where Zuli Presence is activated

  1. Start by deleting the Smartplugs (top left menu, Manage Place, Devices, tap on the device, delete plug) 
  2. Add all of these Smartplugs again once you've plugged them in to new outlets and plugged devices in to them. (Video)
  3. In the room screen, tap on the device, Presence, recalibrate (at the bottom).
  4. You will be guided through the Zuli Presence calibration steps.
  5. Do this for at least one Smartplug in every Room, as Presence works at the Room level.
  6. Follow normal Zuli Presence calibration instructions for these Smartplugs.
